The Head and the Heart's Josiah Johnson Sits Out Tour to Battle Addiction

In a Facebook update today, the band wrote that Johnson will take leave from the band "for as long as it takes for him to feel solid and whole again," thanking listeners for "providing him with love, support and the privacy he needs to be strong on his journey."

"This is not an easy thing for us as he is very much a part of our family," the band continued. "Josiah continues to be a strong presence within the band, working with us to choose someone to temporarily fill in for him at the shows."

The post also noted that the band are hard at work on a new record. Their upcoming live dates include a stop at the Winnipeg Folk Fest in early July.
