'Oppenheimer,' 'Poor Things' Win Big at 2024 OscarsThe Christopher Nolan feature starring Cillian Murphy nabbed seven awards, including Best PictureOppenheimer exploded the competition, taking home seven awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Cillian Murphy) and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.). Again, as one might have guessed, Yorgos Lanthimos's Poor Things also did well, and Emma Stone even took home the Best Actress Award for the second time (after winning for La La Land in 2017), despite Lily Gladstone having been the frontrunner for her performance in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. (It's just a tad ironic that this happened the same year as The Curse came out.)Ryan Gosling's Mickey Mouse Club training shone as he took to the stage to perform "I'm Just Ken" from Barbie, but it was Billie Eilish and brother FINNEAS's Grammy-winning soundtrack contribution, "What Was I Made For?," that nabbed Best Original Song, their stripped-back piano performance even earning a standing ovation. Our Editor-in-Chief's Jonathan Glazer-directed darling, The Zone of Interest, also snagged two awards, and apparently a dog pissed on Matt Damon's Hollywood Walk of Fame star? Hopefully that becomes this year's slap.See the full list of Oscar winners for 2024 below.Best PictureAmerican FictionAnatomy of a FallBarbieThe HoldoversKillers of the Flower MoonMaestroOppenheimerPast LivesPoor ThingsThe Zone of InterestBest ActressAnnette Bening, NYADLily Gladstone, Killers of the Flower MoonSandra Hüller, Anatomy of a FallCarey Mulligan, MaestroEmma Stone, Poor ThingsBest ActorBradley Cooper, MaestroColman Domingo, RustinPaul Giamatti, The HoldoversCillian Murphy, OppenheimerJeffrey Wright, American FictionBest Supporting ActressEmily Blunt, OppenheimerDanielle Brooks, The Color PurpleAmerica Ferrera, BarbieJodie Foster, NYADDa'Vine Joy Randolph, The HoldoversBest Supporting ActorSterling K.
