Thrash Rock Legacy

Thrash Rock Legacy. They created these songs during extended improvised jam sessions that were later edited down; this spontaneous approach results in electrifying arrangements that are stuffed with drum fills, shared vocal leads and hooks aplenty.

Highlights include "If This Dance Catches On," which pairs thundering rock riffs with subtle melodies, and the majestic dreaminess of the synth-speckled "Tokyo Summer." The album's only problem is that it's too much of a good thing, since the hour-long runtime is exhausting without any downtempo numbers. As good as much of Thrash Rock Legacy is, it's best enjoyed in small doses.
