Kaytranada Links Up with Channel Tres and Rochelle Jordan on Two New Singles
Kaytra closes out the year with "Lover/Friend" and its B-side "Stuntin"
"Lover/Friend" is the more spritely of the two, riding bouncy percussion and a deep-red bassline and giving Jordan's featherlight vocals space to shine. "Stuntin" is moodier and heavier, letting Channel Tres growl and pur over a low-riding groove.
This year, Kaytranda released the Aminé-collab KAYTRAMINÉ (one of Exclaim!'s Best Albums of the Year) and featured on Tkay Maidza's sophomore album.
He's expected to drop a new album next year (that will apparently feature Childish Gambino). Listen to "Lover / Friend" and "Stuntin" below.
