David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's Musical 'Here Lies Love' Is Heading to BroadwayIt's derived from their 2010 concept album about Imelda MarcosHere Lies Love will see Tony Award winner Alex Timbres return as director with choreography by Annie-B Parson. The performance will be interactive, as a press release says the show "will transform the venue's traditional proscenium floor space into a dance club environment, where audiences will stand and move with the actors." "As a team of binational American producers — Filipinos among us — we are thrilled to bring Here Lies Love to Broadway! We welcome everyone to experience this singularly exuberant piece of theatre," a statement from the producers reads. "The history of the Philippines is inseparable from the history of the United States, and as both evolve, we cannot think of a more appropriate time to stage this show. See you on the dance floor!" This obviously isn't Byrne's first rodeo on Broadway — Here Lies Love follows his 2019 musical American Utopia, which is still running.
